On Saturday, August 9, we hosted a back to school get together for our youth and children. A total of 23 came to enjoy hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, cake and ice cream.
A volleyball net was up and the game was on! Ms. Lisa's team was ready first, but soon both teams were working hard.
Meanwhile, a tarp was spread on the ground, and with water and dishwashing liquid added (liberally!), a fun sliding competition started. Here are several shots of the kids sliding:
Of course, as you look at these pictures, you'll realize that several kids sliding at once can cause quite some excitement. We appreciate Erica for keeping the tarp wet and hosing down the kids when they got particularly dirty.
Allyn and Lysanna also found a bottle of bubbles, which they put to good use.
Everyone had a good time, and I'm sure everyone slept very good Saturday night - it was quite a day!
