On Friday, October 31, Tate and Rene Ray hosted a gathering at the church. All the youth and children of the church and their friends were invited, as well as any adults brave enough to try it. Hamburgers and hot dogs were cooked on the grill, and punch, chips, cookies, cake and other goodies were served up as well.
While the burgers and wienies cooked, a fire was built in the side area of the church. The kids played basketball and other games. A trailer was loaded with hay, ready for the hayride. After everyone ate and finished playing, we all gathered around the fire and sang songs, while Bro. Ricky and Bro. Billy played their guitars.
After singing and cooking marshmallows, kids and brave adults loaded up on the trailer and off we went on a hayride. We rode down a dirt road near the radio station, and had some very exciting moments when a horrible monster jumped out of the bushes at us. We also saw some ghost cows, and even smelled some WONDERFUL smells.
