On the second Sunday of most every month*, the men of the church gather at 8 am to cook and eat breakfast together.
What started as a simple breakfast, has turned into a time of fun and fellowship. Some months, a special speaker is present; on others, one of the men have a short devotional.
Scrambled eggs, grits, bacon and sausage, biscuits, honey, coffee, milk and juice are the regular menu, but you can never tell when someone will bring some extra delicacies, like fried white meat, home canned figs or tomato gravy to add to the spread.
*In May, the men cook breakfast for the ladies on Mother’s Day, and in June, the ladies of the church cook breakfast for all the fathers on Father’s Day.
