Valentine's Day celebration 2005

A new tradition at our church is the Valentine's banquet. We had our first one this year and it was a great success! It was held on Saturday, February 12, and everyone was invited.

After a wonderful meal of spaghetti with all the fixings, Sister Tammy introduced the entertainment, which was the married couples in the church.

First, everyone was divided up in two groups, which made single file lines. Each person was issued a toothpick, and we raced to see who could pass lifesaver candies down the line in the shortest time. (You have to see these pictures to believe them!)

Then the husbands went behind a screen and took off their socks and shoes. They put their feet through holes in the screen and the wives had to pick out their husbands' feet! (This was not as successful as you might think.)

Lastly the men had to leave the room, while their wives answered ten questions. When the men came back in, they had to see if they could match their wives' answers... the men did much better on this than their wives did on the 'foot recognition' game.
