Before Vacation Bible School started, we had a 'fun' raiser to get the kids excited and eager to attend. Several of the leaders in the church were given coconuts, and were told to decorate them so they looked like people. Miss Kathy made a coconut that looked like Bro. Steve, and Ms. Beth's coconut looked like a princess.
Lava Lava Island had several different areas: Sing and Play Bay got everyone started off on the right foot, then our different groups went off the visit Hot Bible Adventures, Jungle Gym Games, Crater Crafts and Missions, Tropical Treats and Chadder's Island Adventure Theater. Then everyone came back together to Lava Lava Luau, where we sang and reviewed what we'd learned that night.
